Sexually transmitted diseases
Those diseases that are transmitted primarily by sexual activity and with which the busy Venereology, called sexually transmitted diseases. The cause of these diseases are infections caused by protozoa, bacteria or viruses. In earlier times the popular "classic sexually transmitted diseases" such as syphilis, gonorrhea ("clap"), lymphogranuloma venereum ("venereal inflammation of lymph nodes") and chancroid (the "soft chancre") have today entered into their meaning back.
